Patelco Reports Cyber Attack by Ransomware virus

Patelco Credit Union revealed on June 29, 2024, that they were targeted in a ransomware attack.

Cybercriminals managed to breach their systems, block access, and demand a ransom in exchange for restoring compromised systems and returning stolen data.

Subsequently, a significant number of Patelco’s systems were rendered inoperative. Members of the credit union were unable to access electronic payments, direct deposits, and transfers following the incident.
