In the last year, 76% of MSPs have experienced a cyberattack on their infrastructure
Netwrix recently analyzed the security of Managed Service Providers (MSP) in a new report.
The findings of the report show that 76% of MSPs identified a cyberattack on their systems in the past year, which is similar to the overall rate for all organizations (79%). Of those affected, 51% of MSPs had to incur unexpected costs to address security vulnerabilities. Additionally, 31% suffered a loss of competitive advantage, and 27% received fines for non-compliance, compared to 20% and 17% respectively in other industries.
Within the MSP sector, almost half of security incidents in the cloud (49%) were linked to compromised user accounts, while 46% of on-premises attacks involved ransomware or other malware.
