Damage occurs in nearly 90% of organizations following a security incident
Security incident response was recently examined by Cado Security, revealing that almost 90% of organizations experience damage before effectively containing and investigating incidents. Challenges and complexities result in 23% of cloud alerts going unresolved by organizations.
The study indicates that 82% of organizations find it necessary to utilize multiple platforms and tools for cloud investigations. Additionally, 34% of organizations lack specific cybersecurity skills related to cloud technologies. Furthermore, data visibility issues are a major compliance challenge for 42% of organizations, and 34% have faced penalties for failing to meet regulatory requirements.
Improvements have been noted in organizations’ handling of cloud investigations, with only 23% of cloud alerts remaining uninvestigated – a decrease from over 33% in 2021. Eighty-three percent of organizations have allocated a budget for cloud forensics, highlighting the increasing importance of forensics capabilities in cloud security management.
