
Most Valuable Skill According to 75% of Security Leaders is Threat Intelligence
According to a recent report by Pluralsight, Artificial Intelligence (AI) threat readiness has been analyzed. The report reveals that 56% of security professionals are worried about the threats posed by AI technology.
More than half of the technology experts surveyed are either extremely concerned or moderately concerned about AI-powered threats, with only 6% stating that they are not concerned at all. The report also highlights that 40% of organizations provide formal training and guidance on AI, while 74% of IT professionals fear that AI tools may replace their roles in the future.
When it comes to advanced cybersecurity skills, over 75% of respondents believe that threat intelligence and reverse engineering are the most valuable skills today, with 24% emphasizing the importance of threat hunting. Additionally, 34% of respondents predict that Cybersecurity Data Scientists will become more prevalent in the coming years, and 22% think that exploit developers will also see an increase in demand. Other emerging roles in cybersecurity include DevSecOps (16%), red team operators (12%), threat hunters (10%), and ICS/SCADA security engineers (4%).
