SEC creates Interagency Securities Council (ISC)

The SEC has established the Interagency Securities Council (ISC) to foster collaboration between federal, state and local agencies. Agencies involved in the ISC will meet quarterly to review threat trends and mitigation strategies.

The expressed objectives of the council are the following:

  • Solidify cohesion between federal, state and local agencies
  • Improve collaborative efforts on cases to protect investors
  • Offer insights and perspectives across the ecosystems
  • Establish a forum to combat financial fraud as a unified front

The ISC consists of representatives from more than 100 agencies and departments, such as federal agencies, local police departments, sheriff’s offices, state police and state offices of attorneys general.
