86% of Organizations Grant Data Compliance Exemptions in Non-Production Environments
Delphix conducted an analysis on data security compliance in 2024. The findings of the report indicate that safeguarding sensitive data is becoming increasingly complex with the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI).
A whopping 85% of enterprises express apprehensions regarding regulatory non-compliance within AI settings. Furthermore, 68% of the organizations surveyed perceive a lack of viable solutions for addressing data privacy concerns within AI environments.
On an overall basis, 91% of organizations harbor concerns about the widened exposure landscape across various lower environments, such as software development, testing, and data analytics.
In spite of these worries, 86% of organizations permit data compliance exemptions in non-production environments. Consequently, 54% of organizations have already encountered instances of data breaches or theft related to sensitive data within non-production environments.
To combat these challenges, organizations are resorting to tools and strategies like static data masking, which is acknowledged as a current solution by 66% of the organizations surveyed.
